Robert A. Francis
President and CEO

Robert Francis represents the fourth generation of leadership in the real estate service industry and is passionate about building a brand that is synonymous with accountable service. His focus is on associate and client satisfaction and retention, new business development and overall guidance and support for all Planned initiatives.

Prior to Planned Companies, Mr. Francis spent two years at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) where he worked on change management system implementations and solutions for internal operations at Andersen in Chicago.

He transitioned the security business by launching Planned Security Services in January 2002 and the concierge and doorman division in January 2004, significantly increasing the Planned brand throughout the northeast within a short period of time. Francis has instituted quality control measures and a corporate culture at Planned Companies that has resulted in an industry leading client and associate retention rate.

He resides in New Jersey with his wife and two children.

Jonathan L. Kessler
Vice President of Business Development

Jonathan Kessler, who joined Planned Companies in 2007, brings passion and leadership to his role of developing new corporate, commercial, and residential assignments for Planned Companies. As Vice President of Business Development, he works closely with the sales and marketing teams throughout the Northeast to implement strategic branding and relationship-building opportunities.

Kessler joined the Planned team from Kessler Trucking Company LLC in Paterson, New Jersey. Over 10 years, he rose through the ranks to a project-management-level contributor to the company’s sales and marketing initiatives. There, he also learned the value of a company with a rich history, knowledge that he uses every day in his goals of expanding Planned’s footprint.

Kessler is active in many real estate organizations throughout the Northeast and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Arizona. He resides in Manhattan.

Astrit (Tony) Gorana
Executive Vice President LEED® AP

Mr. Gorana joined Planned Building Services in June of 2000. He started as an Account Executive and has ascended throughout the years to Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations and currently as Executive Vice President.

Gorana oversees operations throughout the northeast, with client satisfaction and retention at the forefront of his responsibilities. His responsibilities include compliance, budget analysis and associate retention. Under his leadership the company’s retention rose to an industry leading 95%.

Mr. Gorana has been featured in Real Estate Weekly, The Star Ledger, Real Estate New Jersey and Real Estate New York for his growth and impact within the industry.

He received his LEED AP designation in November 2008 and has been the key driver in the companies green movement. His knowledge enables him to deliver, or proactively facilitate in delivering, a substantial amount of LEED credits to existing building owners, developers and managers who are seeking LEED certification. In addition, he launched the Planned Goes Green program throughout the portfolio.

Prior to the Planned Building Services, Astrit spent over seven years at Golden Mark Maintenance in New York. He worked his way up from Regional Supervisor, Field Manager, Operations Manager and finally Account Executive. While at Golden Mark, he learned every aspect of the janitorial and maintenance business.

Mr. Gorana resides in New York with his wife and two sons.

Dino Iuliano
Executive Vice President
Certified Personal Protection Specialist

Mr. Iuliano oversees all day to day operations for over 800 Concierge, Doormen and Security Officers throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the DC Metro Region. He oversees a group of more than 10 managers who are directly accountable for client satisfaction and retention. Under his leadership, Planned Security and Planned Lifestyle Services have obtained an industry leading 95% customer retention rate.

Mr. Iuliano also oversees the Business Development Department for The Planned Companies. He is responsible for the development and growth of all The Planned Companies business in new and existing markets. Under his leadership, Planned Companies continues to surpass the company’s growth projections year over year.

Prior to Planned Companies, Mr. Iuliano served as Director of Operations for a New Jersey based security company, and has also worked as an Executive Protection Specialist for a Fortune 100 company. While employed there, he was given the opportunity to be included within the security detail protecting former President George Bush while he gave a speech at the AT&T facility in Basking Ridge, NJ. Mr. Iuliano has also served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and was also a Sheriff’s Officer. Most recently, Mr. Iuliano worked as a Product Specialist at a Fortune 500 Company located in Northern New Jersey. He graduated from the Executive Protection Institute in Virginia.

Mr. Iuliano has been featured in various industry publications, such as NY Real Estate Journal, New Jersey & Company, and Real Estate Weekly, and provides lectures regarding security safety and awareness. Mr. Iuliano was a recipient of the NJBIZ “Top 40 under 40,” in September of 2009 as well as The Security Honor Roll in Access Control & Security Systems Magazine (5 who make a difference) in September of 2008.

Mr. Iuliano resides with his wife and three children in Hanover Township, NJ.
